Description

  • By voting YES on this proposal, OSMO stakers voice their support in enabling Superfluid Staking on the OSMO/DAI (#674), OSMO/USDC (#678) and OSMO/ETH (#704) pools on Osmosis.\n\n* By voting NO on this proposal, OSMO stakers voice their dissent in enabling Superfluid Staking on the OSMO/DAI (#674), OSMO/USDC (#678) and OSMO/ETH (#704) pools on Osmosis.\n\nDetails\nThis proposal would enable Superfluid Staking in the OSMO/DAI (#674), OSMO/USDC (#678) and OSMO/ETH (#704) pools.\nThese pools are newly incentivised via the Axelar bridge and are growing quickly. They currently contain 7.2% of pooled OSMO in total as follows:\nOSMO/DAI (#674) - 0.93%\nOSMO/USDC (#678) - 4.76%\nOSMO/ETH (#704) - 1.47%\n\nAt the current 50% discount rate, this allows a further ~2.7 million OSMO to be used to secure the network through staking, in addition to the ~28.8 million OSMO from the currently enabled pools.\nThis proposal asks whether governance trusts in the stability and security of the Ethereum and Axelar chains sufficiently to allow these tokens to have an influence on Osmosis governance.\n\nDAI is an Ethereum-based stablecoin whose issuance and development is managed by the Maker Protocol and the MakerDAO decentralized autonomous organization. Dai is pegged to the dollar through collateralised minting into smart contract vaults.\nUSD Coin (USDC) is a stablecoin redeemable on a 1:1 basis for US dollars, backed by dollar denominated assets held in segregated accounts with US regulated financial institutions.\nEthereum is a global, decentralized platform for money and new kinds of applications.\n\nCommonwealth Thread: https://gov.osmosis.zone/discussion/4910-enable-superfluid-staking-on-osmodai-674-osmousdc-678-and-osmoeth-704
